The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davina keeps the fight on the outside.
Davina leaves Griffin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Davina shoots in looking for a takedown but Griffin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Griffin closes the distance and clinches up with Davina, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes Davina against the cage but Davina circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Davina tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davina somewhat.
