Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Wittman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Wittman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John McManus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Wittman!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McManus moves in looking to clinch but Wittman pushes him off.

McManus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McManus showed some decent athleticism there.
McManus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Wittman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wittman managing to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wittman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McManus avoids a series of strikes thrown by Wittman.

McManus blocking the ground and pound.
Wittman thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
A nice elbow there by Wittman.
Wittman controlling his opponent.
Wittman throws a sloppy strike and McManus uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and McManus has ended up in Wittman's guard.

Wittman has his feet on McManus's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Wittman throws a leg kick that misses.
McManus lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
McManus shoots in looking for a takedown. Wittman tries to sprawl out of it but McManus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wittman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McManus is breathing heavily.

Wittman closes the distance looking to clinch
and McManus counters with a right hand to the body.

Wittman gets the takedown into side control.
Wittman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wittman decides to stand back up.

McManus tries to get to full guard but Wittman has control of the leg.
Wittman keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Wittman prevents McManus from standing back up.
Wittman wants to lay and pray for a moment but McManus keeps working.
McManus is trying to stand.
Wittman wants to free his trapped foot but McManus is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wittman is looking to take a break and control but McManus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McManus is looking for a sweep. Wittman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McManus connects with a high kick.

Wittman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McManus throws a series of strikes that have Wittman backpedaling.
McManus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wittman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McManus's guard.
McManus tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Wittman stands up and waves to McManus to follow him.

Wittman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Wittman prevents McManus from escaping the position.

Wittman wants to lay and pray for a moment but McManus keeps working.
McManus can't do much from the bottom here.
McManus is looking for a sweep.
McManus wants to get back to his feet but Wittman drags him back down.

Wittman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McManus gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wittman is thwarting McManus's attempts to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wittman forces McManus back against the cage and clinches.

Wittman wants the takedown. McManus is fighting it off but Wittman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in McManus's guard against the cage.

Wittman tries to free his leg and advance position but McManus is retaining full guard.
Wittman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Wittman pushes down on McManus's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Wittman is looking to advance position but McManus won't allow it.
Wittman performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wittman stands up and beckons McManus to join him on the feet.
Wittman tries to close the distance and clinch up but McManus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for McManus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McManus tries for a takedown but Wittman circles away easily

and Wittman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McManus's guard now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wittman stands up from McManus's guard - Wittman perhaps looking for a knockout.
Wittman throws a sloppy head kick and McManus moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Wittman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Wittman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McManus!
McManus manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wittman wants to lay and pray for a moment but McManus keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wittman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Wittman tries to close the distance and clinch up but McManus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Wittman counters with a nice double leg into guard.

McManus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McManus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wittman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wittman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McManus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McManus's back!

Wittman has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of McManus's body.

Wittman looking to break McManus's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McManus remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wittman will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Wittman throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
John McManus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wittman is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Marcus Wittman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wittman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
