Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vince Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ted Caves!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Caves was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Caves does a little dance to reset his feet.
Caves fails with an attempt to clinch.
Caves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jackson cracks Caves with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Caves.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Caves moves away.
Jackson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jackson throws a combination. Caves tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jackson is looking to wear down Caves with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Jackson misses with a straight left.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson misses the jab.
Jackson connects with a jab.

Caves takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jackson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.
Jackson scores with a body shot.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Caves is just out of range.
Jackson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Caves momentarily.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Caves moves out of range.
Caves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
Vince Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caves avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jackson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Caves moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Caves's head back.
Caves walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jackson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A lazy left from Jackson finds it's target.
Jackson misses with an uppercut. Caves saw that one coming.

Caves shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Caves defends well.

Caves is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Caves looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Caves is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Caves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jackson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.

Caves misses with a head shot. Jackson uses the momentum to regain guard.
Caves stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Caves throws a big elbow that misses.
Caves working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Caves postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Caves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Caves from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vince Jackson dominated that round.

Jackson cracks Caves with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.
Caves moves out of range of the strikes.
Caves moves out of range as Jackson strikes.
Vince Jackson is winning the standup battle so far.

Caves shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Caves scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jackson to see if he's OK.

Caves is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Caves trying to control the position but Jackson is working away.
Caves sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jackson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Jackson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caves throwing strikes but Jackson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Caves is looking for a sweep.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Caves gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Caves has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Caves defends the submission attempt.
Jackson prevents Caves from improving his position.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Caves is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.
Caves is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Caves avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caves wants to control the position but Jackson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Jackson wants to pass to mount but Caves is defending the position.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Caves has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Caves gets back to full guard.

Caves looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Caves pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!
