Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gendut Babi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trinidad Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Nelly - Here Comes the Boom. Gendut Babi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gendut Babi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trinidad Jackson!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babi listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Jackson scores with a nice head shot.
Jackson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jackson throws a lazy uppercut
and Babi counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.
Babi looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
Horrible takedown by Babi or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.
The fighters circling - Babi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jackson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Babi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
Babi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Babi.
Babi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Babi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Babi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.
Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Babi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Babi takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jackson throws a body punch but Babi moves out of range.
Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson clobbers Babi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Babi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jackson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Babi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jackson's corner calls for a 1-2. Jackson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Babi closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Babi pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Babi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jackson is trying to control Babi's posture but Babi avoids it.
Jackson dodges the ground and pound from Babi.

Jackson is trying to improve his position.
Jackson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Babi in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Babi keeps moving and retains side control.
Babi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Babi misses with the ground and pound.
Babi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Babi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
The strikes coming from Babi are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Babi lands some shots froms side control.
An elbow from Babi crashes against the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Trinidad Jackson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Babi cracks Jackson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jackson connects with a body shot that sends Babi's belly button to the back.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Babi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Babi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Babi shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Babi throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.

and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Babi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Babi.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Babi.
Babi throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range.

Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Babi.
Jackson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Jackson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Babi thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jackson stuns Babi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Babi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.

Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Babi misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely.
Jackson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Babi's hands.

enabling Babi to counter with a crisp jab.
Babi throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
Babi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Babi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Babi back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Babi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Babi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Trinidad Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Jackson drops Babi with a beautiful combination! Babi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jackson is looking for the KO!
It looks like Gendut Babi has been cut.

and Jackson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Babi! He's just covering up as Jackson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
