Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Red Arcinas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Katipunan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andres Katipunan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arcinas shoots in for a double leg but Katipunan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Arcinas fails with a takedown attempt.
Katipunan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arcinas.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Arcinas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Arcinas closes the distance and clinches up with Katipunan, looking for a takedown. Arcinas pushes Katipunan against the cage but Katipunan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Katipunan lands with a thumping leg kick.

Katipunan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Arcinas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Katipunan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Arcinas, who protects the arm well.

Arcinas tries to improve position but can't.

Katipunan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Arcinas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Katipunan but great work by Arcinas.

Katipunan is trying to get back to half guard.
Katipunan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Katipunan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Arcinas is working for a kimura but Katipunan is defending it quite comfortably.

Arcinas wants to work for an arm triangle but Katipunan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Katipunan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Arcinas pulls his head out easily.
