Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mifel Lalber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Lights Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mifel Lalber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Lights Out!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lights Out or perhaps it was just good defense by Lalber which made him look bad.
Lalber throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lights Out's waist but Lights Out gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lalber off to one side.
Lalber tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Lights Out to counter with a crisp jab.
Lalber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lights Out paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lights Out gets caught flat footed, as Lalber shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lalber postures up.
Lights Out looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lalber is one step ahead there.
Lights Out working a defensive guard but Lalber passes into half guard.
Lights Out is looking for a sweep. Lalber is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lalber wants to stand up but Lights Out is controlling the position.
Lights Out wants to control but Lalber is keeping busy.
Lights Out trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Lalber unloads with some shots from mount but Lights Out bucks and avoids them well.
Lalber wants to control the pace but Lights Out is squirming around nicely.
Lights Out is looking to get to half guard.

Lights Out wants to hold on but Lalber pushes him away.
Lalber looking to control and managing it successfully.
Lights Out is looking to improve his position but Lalber isn't that keen on the idea.
Lalber trying to control but Lights Out is having none of it.
Lalber takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lights Out is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lights Out is squirming around, avoiding Lalber's attempts to control the action.

Lights Out tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lights Out is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lalber controlling the position easily from mount.
Lights Out is desperately trying to improve his position but Lalber has a good base and remains in mount.
Lalber trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lights Out tries to reverse the position but Lalber maintains control.
Lights Out is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lights Out really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lalber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lights Out is squirming around, avoiding Lalber's attempts to control the action.
Lights Out is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.

Lalber is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lights Out has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lights Out can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lalber stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mifel Lalber will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lights Out shoots in and drives through. Lalber sprawls well.
Lalber fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lights Out ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lalber throws a right hand that Lights Out ducks under and follows up with a left that Lights Out also avoids with ease.

Lalber moves into the clinch successfully.
Lights Out goes for a takedown attempt but Lalber pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lights Out displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lalber.

and Lights Out counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Lights Out is looking to stall here but Lalber recovers full guard.
Lalber keeping moving, preventing Lights Out from controlling successfully.

Lalber is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lights Out looking to sit in guard and control but Lalber gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lights Out is trying to control the position but Lalber postures up.
Lights Out looking for a sweep. Not yet Lights Out, not yet.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lights Out is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jimmy Lights Out has got the better of the ground game so far.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jimmy Lights Out hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lights Out is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lalber sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mifel Lalber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Lights Out.

Lights Out shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lalber pinned against the cage. Lalber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lights Out wants to take the fight to the mat but Lalber manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lalber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lalber stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lalber wants it to stay on the feet.
Lalber is looking to land body kicks.
Lights Out changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lalber tries to avoid it but Lights Out manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lalber to the ground. Lalber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mifel Lalber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lights Out feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lalber wants to sweep but no luck.
Lights Out tries to free his leg and advance position but Lalber is retaining full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lights Out can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lalber is looking to escape.

Jimmy Lights Out showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lalber moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Lights Out counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lalber is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lalber wants to sweep here but Lights Out controlling him for the moment.
Lights Out wants to control from the top but Lalber keeps moving.
Lights Out is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jimmy Lights Out was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lalber throws a series of punches but Lights Out avoids them all with ease.

Lights Out's corner calls for a 1-2. Lights Out obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lalber fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mifel Lalber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lalber tries to clinch up but Lights Out circles away and keeps his distance.
Lights Out slips a jab and a cross from Lalber.
Lalber keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lalber doesn't manage to clinch there - Lights Out circles away.
Lalber throws a nice looking combination but Lights Out bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lalber is not content to let Lights Out control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lights Out changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lalber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lights Out wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lalber keeps working.
Lalber is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lights Out's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lights Out's back!
You can see the frustration on Lights Out's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jimmy Lights Out comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lights Out has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
