The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rodrigues lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rodrigues throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rodrigues pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Deathgrip fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rodrigues cracks Deathgrip with a right hand to the side of the head.
Deathgrip shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodrigues pinned against the cage. Rodrigues gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rodrigues throws a shot from downtown. Deathgrip moves away and avoids it.
Rodrigues lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Deathgrip attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rodrigues lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rodrigues looks to land a right hand but Deathgrip moved out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rodrigues throws a big shot that misses.
Jake Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deathgrip ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That kick from Deathgrip tenderised Rodrigues's leg. Rodrigues is trying to keep his angry face on.
A left and a right from Rodrigues both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Blink Deathgrip has been cut.
Deathgrip fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodrigues avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blink Deathgrip. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deathgrip looks up at the clock. Bad move! Rodrigues lands a right hand from hell, dropping Deathgrip. Rodrigues pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
