Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Cristophe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leo Cristophe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foe misses with a low kick.
Foe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cristophe circles away quickly and effectively.
Cristophe closes the distance looking to clinch

and Foe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cristophe is not content to let Foe control the position.
Foe not doing much here.
Foe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cristophe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cristophe tries to get out of the position.
Foe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cristophe defending well though.
Foe is trying to control the action in half guard but Cristophe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Foe is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cristophe's shoulder. That is not cool.
Foe looks up at the clock and then as Cristophe takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Foe smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cristophe keeps Foe under control for a moment.
Cristophe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Foe is looking to take a break and control but Cristophe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Foe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cristophe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Foe controls the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Foe is putting a hurting on Cristophe here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cristophe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cristophe has managed to get both his arms back between Foe's legs - danger averted.

Foe scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cristophe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Foe throws a leg kick but Cristophe checks it.

Cristophe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Foe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Foe keeps the fight on the outside.
Foe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cristophe defends it nicely.
Foe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looks like Joe Foe has been cut.

Foe has Cristophe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cristophe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Foe wants to take the fight to the mat but Cristophe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Foe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Foe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Foe blocks an elbow strike from Cristophe.

Cristophe tries to stand but Foe is controlling from the bottom.

Foe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cristophe's guard.
Foe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cristophe is keeping the position for now.
Foe trying to control but Cristophe is working from the bottom.

Cristophe controls Foe momentarily but Foe frees himself.
Foe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cristophe pulls Foe in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Leo Cristophe just wasn't active enough.
Foe feints a jab promting Cristophe to slip. Foe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cristophe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Foe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Cristophe moves to clinch but Foe breaks away
and Foe counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Foe throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cristophe.

Foe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cristophe as he jumps to the side.
Foe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Foe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cristophe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Foe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
