Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Maccarone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Desperado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tito Desperado enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Maccarone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Desperado!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maccarone goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Maccarone throws a push kick but Desperado slaps the foot to one side.
Maccarone misses with a kick to the body.
Desperado misses with a two punch combination.
Maccarone connects with a solid leg kick.
Maccarone throws a sloppy head kick and Desperado moves out of range easily.
Desperado digs a good body shot into Maccarone's ribs.

Desperado feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Desperado postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maccarone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Desperado, into his guard.

Desperado is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maccarone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maccarone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Maccarone wants to control from the top but Desperado keeps moving.

Maccarone has gone for a leg lock! Desperado slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maccarone's guard.
Desperado would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Desperado decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maccarone, up you get!
Desperado with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maccarone to score with a decent uppercut.

Charlie Maccarone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Desperado takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Desperado wants to work for an arm triangle but Maccarone is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Desperado is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maccarone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Desperado.

That was a close round but I would say that Charlie Maccarone will probably get the nod.

Desperado shoots in looking for a takedown. Maccarone tries to sprawl out of it but Desperado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maccarone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Desperado wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Maccarone's closed guard. He's half up but Maccarone has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Maccarone pivots and extends the arm, Desperado falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Maccarone! Well done that man!
