Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luther King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luther King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but King sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by King.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Luther King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Jackson.
King moves out of range of the body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jackson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from King - the referee stops the clock and Jackson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says King. Jackson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
King is breathing heavily.
Jackson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by King. King obviously looking to wear him down.
Jake Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but King is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jackson lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Jackson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

King moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.

Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
Luther King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Jackson.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
King pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

King is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

King is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.

Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson lands a big elbow.

Jackson looking to finish King with some ground and pound. This is bad for King!
King tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jackson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. King looks a forlorn figure.


King is rocked!

Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jackson breaks from King's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jackson landing strikes from the mount and King is in trouble!

Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Jackson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. King can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jake Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jackson goes for an armbar but King turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from King.
King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson controls King momentarily but King frees himself.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
