PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neo TT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by American Capitalist. On his way into the cage it seems that Neo TT has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Neo TT seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TT checks a low kick from Riley.
Riley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but TT swivels and escapes.
TT shoots in but Riley avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Riley dives in and grabs TT's left leg, looking for a takedown. TT pushes down on Riley's head and hops out.
TT shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Riley sprawls well. Riley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. TT gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by TT which made him look bad.
Neo TT has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Riley.

TT shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Riley pinned against the cage. Riley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Riley should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Riley moves into range and clinches up with TT.

TT pulls Riley into guard.
TT wants to stand up but Riley is controlling him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

TT throws a nice looking combination but Riley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Riley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. TT avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Riley pulls TT into guard.
TT looking to sit in guard and control but Riley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

TT escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Riley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Riley wants to control from the top but TT keeps moving.

Riley content to stall in guard here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

TT is letting Riley control him for a moment.

Riley decides to stand back up. Riley steps back and let's TT get back to his feet.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts TT as he jumps to the side.
TT shoots for a takedown but Riley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Riley swats away the attempt to clinch by TT.
Riley shoots in but TT avoids the takedown attempt easily.
TT shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Riley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jack Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Riley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
TT shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Riley defends it nicely.
Riley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but TT avoids it really well and circles away.
TT changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Riley tries to avoid it but TT manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Riley to the ground. Riley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

TT is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Riley is defending well.

Riley manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Riley pulls guard effortlessly.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riley is on top in guard.
TT looking for a sweep. Not yet TT, not yet.
Riley advances position into side control!
Riley takes a little break here. TT wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Riley wants to control but TT is keeping him busy.

Jack Riley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Riley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
