The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets the takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Goldman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Johnson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Goldman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Goldman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Goldman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Goldman in his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
