Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Storm told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm tries to clinch up.

Storm lands a head kick that stumbles East and the fighters go to the mat.

East is rocked!

It looks like Steve East has been cut.
Storm preventing the sweep.
Oh East is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Storm controlling from the top position.
Storm postures up.
Storm must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
East can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Storm controls the pace.
East seems to have got his legs back now.
Storm thows a big elbow that misses.

East has his foot on Storm's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Storm works his way back into a safe position though.

East is looking for a triangle but Storm pushes his legs off easily.
Storm won't allow East to get back to his feet.

East is looking for a triangle here but Storm uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
East is breathing heavily.

Storm decides to stand back up.

Storm instigates a clinch.
Storm blocks the elbow strike.
East has a couple of punches blocked by Storm.
East takes a knee right on the jaw!

Storm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Storm forces East back against the cage and clinches.
Storm lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Storm breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Storm lands a brutal head kick. East looks out on his feet and Storm throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
