Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Rooney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Walter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooney tries to clinch but Walter is having none of it.
Rooney misses with a series of wild punches.

Rooney has managed to clinch.
Walter has Rooney pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rooney manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Walter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rooney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rooney takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Walter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rooney looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Walter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rooney some visible discomfort.

Rooney is rocked!

It looks like Ryan Rooney has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rooney tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Walter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Oh Rooney is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rooney wants to get back to his feet.
Rooney seems to have got his legs back now.
Walter throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Walter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Walter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Walter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Walter is trying to move to mount but Rooney reverses beautifully and ends up in Walter's guard.

Walter is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Rooney frees his head nicely. Oh but Walter has switched to an armbar! Rooney is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
