The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gromowladny defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Obuch.
Gromowladny scores with a jab to the body.
Gromowladny lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Gerwazy Obuch has been cut.
Donk. Gromowladny catches Obuch right on the button with a cross.
Gromowladny wants to clinch.

and Obuch counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gromowladny's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Obuch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Obuch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Obuch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A looping hook to the body misses from Gromowladny. Obuch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gromowladny tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Obuch is able to avoid easily.
Gromowladny misses with a series of wild punches.

Obuch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gromowladny won't allow Obuch to pass to mount.
Obuch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Obuch is taking a breather. Gromowladny says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Gromowladny wants to get back to his feet.

Obuch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gerwazy Obuch hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Obuch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gromowladny's guard.
Obuch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
