Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre LePew and Cain Mir. LePew comes to the ring accompanied by Dirty House. Mir is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sub-Mission. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the vacant welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the fighter to my left.
With a record of 29 wins, 12 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre LePew!
And introducing the fighter to my right.
With a record of 21 wins, 7 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of London, Cain Mir!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LePew throws a right hand that Mir ducks under and follows up with a left that Mir also avoids with ease.
LePew fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
LePew leaves Mir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
LePew shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mir as he jumps to the side.
LePew throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
LePew scores with a hook to the body. Mir takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mir drops his hands momentarily and LePew takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

LePew drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Mir is trying to control LePew's posture but LePew avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

LePew tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

LePew working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mir tries to escape but LePew is in control.
LePew has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Mir wants to control but LePew is having none of it.
LePew sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mir wants to hold on but LePew pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
LePew scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mir tries to lock up and control but LePew gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mir is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
LePew landing shots from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mir is in a horrible position here. LePew smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Mir is rocked!
Mir is trying to stand up.
Mir is still in real trouble! Can LePew finish him?
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
LePew looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mir covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pierre LePew!
Pierre LePew is the new welterweight champion!
An intense looking Pierre LePew took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Thank you so much. I\'ve had a great career and I have my belts again. I proved my legacy again and again!'.
