These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coon looks for a takedown but Stroud sprawls well.
Cam Stroud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stroud defending well as Coon loads up on a big left hand.
Coon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stroud.
Coon thows a leg kick but Stroud checks it
and Stroud counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stroud throws a lazy head kick
and Coon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coon throws out a powerful jab.
Stroud connects with a solid leg kick.
Coon throws out a loose jab but Stroud uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stroud uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Coon.
Stroud connects with a leg kick. Coon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stroud throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Coon. That's going to slow Stroud down.
Stroud tries to close the distance and clinch but Coon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Coon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stroud can pounce on him.
Coon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Coon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Stroud lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Stroud lands a front kick.
Stroud moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stroud throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Coon.
Coon misses with an uppercut. Stroud saw that one coming.
Coon slips under a jab from Stroud.
Coon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stroud's jab looks to have found its range, popping Coon under the eye.
A good leg kick by Stroud.
Coon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Coon looks gassed!
Coon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stroud uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Coon.

Stroud throws a head kick but Coon moves out of range.
Coon avoids a kick to the body.
Stroud checks a low kick from Coon.
Stroud defending well as Coon loads up on a big left hand.
Stroud is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Stroud lands a head kick. Coon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Stroud connects with a high kick.

Coon is rocked!
Stroud thuds his shin into the meat of Coon's side.
Coon is still on wobbly legs! Can Stroud finish him?
Coon gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
