The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas rushes Harper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Harper's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Thomas lands a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Thomas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Harper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harper manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Harper's guard.

Harper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thomas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Thomas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Harper's guard.

Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Harper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.
Harper throws a looping overhand right but Thomas ducks down to avoid it.
Harper lands with a straight right. Thomas didn't see that one coming.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Thomas.

Thomas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harper, who protects the arm well.

Thomas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Thomas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thomas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thomas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Harper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thomas throws a strike aimed at the side of Harper's head but Harper avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harper looks to land a combination but Thomas avoids it well.

Thomas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Harper eats them both and turns towards Thomas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Harper is rocked!
Thomas wobbles Harper with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Thomas dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Harper to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
