Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Eckel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dustin Barton enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Eckel momentarily.
Eckel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Eckel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barton but Barton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Eckel tries to clinch there but Barton circles away.

Barton rushes Eckel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barton tries to advance to mount but Eckel denies him.
Eckel wants to control but Barton postures up.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dustin Barton just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Eckel seems a little lost for a moment, as Barton dominates the positioning.

Barton lands a really nice looking cross but Eckel seems unphased.

Barton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
