The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavnetski throws a right and a left that Karkov avoids nicely.

Karkov rushes Shavnetski and presses him up against the cage.

Karkov wants to control but Shavnetski is keeping him busy.

Shavnetski fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Karkov checks it well.
Karkov is looking to clinch.

Karkov forces Shavnetski back against the cage and clinches.
A short right from Karkov on the inside.
Shavnetski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Karkov lands an elbow that stopped Shavnetski in his tracks for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Karkov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shavnetski shoots in and drives through. Karkov sprawls well.
Karkov connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Shavnetski! He's out on his feet! Karkov rushes in and drops Shavnetski with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Alex Karkov!
