Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Owen Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wounded Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes to the cage accompanied by Burning Inside. Wounded Monkey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey throws a leg kick but Hill moved away.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hill passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Hill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Monkey stops Hill from passing to mount.
Hill has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Monkey!

Monkey wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Hill is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Monkey has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Monkey!
Monkey looking to sit in guard and control but Hill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wounded Monkey wasn't active enough on the ground.

Hill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Monkey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Owen Hill wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hill is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Monkey!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Monkey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Monkey looks to land a left hand but Hill moved out of range nicely.
Hill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Monkey circles away.
Hill looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Monkey throws a wild body kick that Hill sees coming a mile off.

Hill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Monkey to the mat! Monkey manages to get full guard.

Hill wants to control from the top but Monkey keeps moving.
Hill controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hill is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Monkey can do to turn this around?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Owen Hill.
Hill on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
No luck for Hill with that takedown attempt.

Monkey throws a chopping leg kick but Hill manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Monkey stuffs the takedown attempt from Hill. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.
Monkey tries to clinch up.
Hill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Owen Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Monkey tenderised Hill's leg. Hill is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hill moves out of range of the leg kick from Monkey.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hill is defended easily by Monkey.
Hill looks to land a combination but Monkey avoids it well.

Hill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Monkey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hill thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hill content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Wounded Monkey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hill is working Monkey over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hill misses with the ground and pound.
Owen Hill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
