The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Adam Resso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Resso throws a shot to the body.
Resso looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Poulter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Resso misses with a series of wild punches.
Resso throws a leg kick which misses Poulter's front leg but catches the back leg as Poulter tries to avoid it.
Resso keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Poulter throws a jab but it's blocked by Resso.
Resso throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Resso dives in and grabs Poulter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Poulter pushes down on Resso's head and hops out.
Resso is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Poulter.
Resso misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Poulter.

Resso tries to clinch but Poulter is having none of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Resso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Poulter manages to avoid it.

Resso throws the kick towards the body but Poulter avoids it.
Poulter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Poulter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Resso looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Poulter counters with a low kick, right behind Resso 's knee.
Resso looks gassed!
Poulter jabs Resso right on the nose. Resso blinks but takes it well.

Resso throws a body punch but Poulter moves out of range.
Poulter throws a half hearted mid kick.
Poulter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Resso was well out of range. Poor timing from Poulter.
Poulter scores with a kick to the midsection.
Poulter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Resso moves away.
Poulter lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Resso throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Poulter lands a big head kick that sends Resso tumbling to the mat! Poulter takes a step backwards and waves Resso back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Resso is rocked!
Poulter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Resso at a distance.
Resso is still on wobbly legs! Can Poulter finish him?
Resso takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Resso seems to have recovered his senses.
Poulter seems to be stalking Resso here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Resso drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
