Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Konsta Pylkkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Heinrich Auswitch!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pylkkanen closes the distance looking to clinch

and Auswitch counters by moving into the clinch.
Pylkkanen trying to land knees to the body.
Pylkkanen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pylkkanen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Pylkkanen keeps control of Auswitch as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Pylkkanen manages to break the clinch.
Pylkkanen wants to clinch up but Auswitch keeps it at a distance.
Auswitch tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pylkkanen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Auswitch moves to clinch but Pylkkanen breaks away
and Pylkkanen counters with an inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pylkkanen misses with a head kick.
Auswitch tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pylkkanen counters with a good, hard body kick but Auswitch shrugs it off.
Auswitch wants to clinch but Pylkkanen slips to the side
and Pylkkanen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Auswitch looks to clinch
and Pylkkanen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Auswitch gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Auswitch jumps into guard, dragging Pylkkanen to the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Auswitch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Pylkkanen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Auswitch keeping full guard, as Pylkkanen tries to pass.
Pylkkanen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Auswitch pulls Pylkkanen in close to prevent any damage.

Pylkkanen drops back looking for a leg! Auswitch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Auswitch manages to kick Pylkkanen off! Pylkkanen jumps back into Auswitch's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pylkkanen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pylkkanen stands and throws Auswitch's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pylkkanen in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Auswitch is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Konsta Pylkkanen!
A relieved looking Konsta Pylkkanen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
