Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ekel Alfred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Casey will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alfred shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Casey as he avoids it easily.
Alfred shoots in looking for a takedown. Casey tries to sprawl out of it but Alfred keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Casey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alfred fails with the takedown.

Alfred drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alfred drops back looking for a leg! Casey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Casey manages to kick Alfred off! Alfred jumps back into Casey's guard.

Casey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alfred tries to roll over but Casey keeps him under control.
Alfred won't allow Casey to pass to mount.
Casey uses his free foot to push down on Alfred's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alfred.
Alfred manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Casey wants to free his trapped foot but Alfred is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Casey slips a nice elbow through Alfred's hands, connecting with Alfred's forehead.
Casey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
I looks like Casey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Casey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Alfred is looking for a sweep. Casey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Alfred thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Alfred is working for a guillotine from mount but Casey frees his head quite easily.

Alfred has hold of Casey's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Casey manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Alfred wants to take Casey's back here but Casey is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Alfred jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Casey manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Alfred works to advance to full mount. Casey defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Casey is looking to improve his position but Alfred isn't that keen on the idea.

Casey has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alfred is working away from the top position though.
Alfred has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
