Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephoune Father (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Also Zarathustra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zarathustra has chosen Red Birds Will Fly Out Of The East And Destroy Paris In A Night as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarathustra looks for the body kick but Father saw that one coming.
Zarathustra with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Father to score with a decent uppercut.
Zarathustra just misses with a punch to the body.
Father walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Zarathustra is looking to chop away at Father's legs.
Father fails with the takedown.
Zarathustra scores with the left hand. Father knows he should have avoided that one.
Father shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zarathustra but Zarathustra pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Father throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zarathustra was covering up waiting for the punch and Father finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Father seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Zarathustra throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Father stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zarathustra lands a jab.
Father tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zarathustra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Father somewhat.

Zarathustra takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Father changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zarathustra looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zarathustra stalks Father and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Father's face. Father staggers backwards, shaken.
Zarathustra thuds his right hand into Father's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Father closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Zarathustra tries to roll over but Father keeps him under control.

Zarathustra has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Father is working away from the top position though.

Stephoune Father has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stephoune Father.
I think Zarathustra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
