Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Winkler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mortal Kombat Theme. Winkler has chosen Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero jabs Winkler right on the nose. Winkler blinks but takes it well.
Winkler misses with an uppercut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Winkler.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
You can see the frustration on Zero's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like Winkler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Winkler clobbers Zero with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Winkler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zero pinned against the cage. Zero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sub Zero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Winkler.

Zero lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Zero fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Winkler manages to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zero throws a lazy right hand but Winkler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Winkler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Winkler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zero.
Zero throws a leg kick which misses Winkler's front leg but catches the back leg as Winkler tries to avoid it.

Zero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zero is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Winkler is defending well for now.
Winkler drops down looking for an ankle pick but Zero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sub Zero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Winkler.
Winkler misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A combination from Winkler does no damage.
Winkler has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Zero.

and Zero counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Winkler punishes Zero's body with a nice straight punch.
Winkler throws a looping overhand right but Zero ducks down to avoid it.
Zero takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Zero lands with an uppercut that bounces Winkler off the cage and back into range.

Zero connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Zero chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Zero throws a low kick, looking for Winkler's leg but Winkler calmly moves out of range.

Winkler drives through with a takedown into Zero's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A very excited looking Sub Zero made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
