Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conor Heatrt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conor Heatrt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heatrt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dodson is fending him off so far but Heatrt persists. Nope, Dodson circles away and we're back to standing.

Heatrt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heatrt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Heatrt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dodson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Heatrt has Dodson in his guard.

Dodson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heatrt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dodson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Heatrt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dodson stacks Heatrt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dodson!

Dodson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Heatrt leaves Dodson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Heatrt dives in and grabs Dodson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dodson pushes down on Heatrt's head and hops out.

Heatrt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dodson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Heatrt is working away from the top position though.
Dodson is looking for a sweep. Heatrt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Heatrt seems to be looking for submissions.

Heatrt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dodson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Heatrt.

Dodson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heatrt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heatrt's back!

Dodson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dodson pushes a forearm under Heatrt's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Heatrt is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
