Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toni Preteni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Kingsley!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Preteni moves into the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kingsley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kingsley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Preteni keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kingsley is just content to waste time from the top position. Preteni takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kingsley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Preteni is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kingsley is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Preteni keeping moving, preventing Kingsley from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Preteni has taken the fight to the clinch.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kingsley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Preteni postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kingsley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Preteni, into his guard.

Preteni looks for the body kick but Kingsley saw that one coming.

and Kingsley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Preteni won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Preteni is not content to let Kingsley control the position.
Preteni takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Kingsley lands a nice forearm strike.
Preteni is letting Kingsley control him for a moment.

Kingsley creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Kingsley goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Preteni has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kingsley but great work by Preteni.

Kingsley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Preteni avoids it really well and circles away.
