The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klutie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Klutie lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Klutie content to stall in guard here.
Brandao wants to stand up but Klutie is controlling him.
Klutie controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Klutie won't allow Brandao to get back to his feet.

Darnell Klutie has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Brandao shoots for a takedown but Klutie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Klutie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Brandao is trying to stand.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Klutie connects with a nice short shot to Brandao's temple.

Klutie is nestled in close to Brandao, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Brandao is in trouble now - Klutie has advanced to mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brandao is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Klutie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Brandao's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Klutie is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Brandao really wants to buck Klutie off and get back to his feet.
Brandao looks gassed!
Klutie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brandao can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klutie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brandao is still in real trouble! Can Klutie finish him?
Klutie scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Brandao is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Klutie wants to finish this one by submission but Brandao is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Klutie.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Klutie! Brandao is hurt baaadly! Klutie is firing away with more strikes - Brandao is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
