The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhailov looks to land a right hand but Thompson moved out of range.
Mikhailov ducks under a wild hook from Thompson.
Mikhailov misses with an uppercut
and Thompson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mikhailov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thompson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thompson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Thompson looks for the body kick but Mikhailov saw that one coming.
Thompson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mikhailov manages to avoid it.
Mikhailov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Thompson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mikhailov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Mikhailov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Thompson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mikhailov misses with a hook
and Thompson counters with a leg kick.
Thompson throws a head kick that half lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thompson misses with a kick to the body.
Mikhailov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mikhailov scores with a hook.
The fighters circling - Mikhailov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thompson wants to slow Mikhailov down by chopping away at his legs.
Thompson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Thompson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Thompson. That's going to slow Mikhailov down.
Mikhailov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thompson.
Nice straight punches there by Thompson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Thompson.
Mikhailov jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Thompson ducks under a wild hook from Mikhailov.
Thompson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mikhailov checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Thompson blocks a jab.
Mikhailov misses the shot to the body.
Thompson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mikhailov checks the leg kick nicely there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mikhailov. Thompson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thompson walks into a stiff left hand from Mikhailov.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thompson throws a low kick but Mikhailov moves out of range easily.
Mikhailov connects with a nice looking jab.
Thompson is rocked!
Mikhailov throws the left hand but Thompson avoids the punch easily.
Oh Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mikhailov moves in close and cracks Thompson with a massive right hand! Thompson, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Mikhailov!
