Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Flash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sasha Petrova!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrova gets a clinch.
Petrova has Flash pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Petrova pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Flash tumbling to the mat - Petrova dives into Flash's guard.
Petrova has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Flash is proving hard to escape from.
Petrova stands and steps away. Flash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Flash enables Petrova to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flash manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
We're going to have a standup here because The Flash wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Petrova with a lazy takedown attempt
and Flash counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Flash throws a series of punches but Petrova avoids them all with ease.
Flash moves into the clinch.
Flash misses with a body punch.
Flash stops a takedown attempt from Petrova.
Flash lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Petrova is looking to take this one to the mat.
The Flash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sasha Petrova.
The referee is keeping an eye on Flash - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Flash lands a left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Petrova has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Flash avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Flash fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Flash lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Flash gets through Petrova's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Petrova tries for a takedown. No joy.
Petrova is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Flash throws a head punch that misses.
Petrova changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Flash fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Petrova fails with the takedown
and Flash counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Petrova.
Petrova looks gassed!
Flash throws a nice outside leg kick.
Flash darts in and clinches Petrova up against the cage.
Petrova tries for a takedown but Flash manages to get underhooks.
Petrova is trying to drag Flash to the mat but Flash just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Flash is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Petrova has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Flash is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Flash fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Petrova goes for a takedown in the clinch but Flash prevents it.
Flash lands an uppercut.
Petrova wants a takedown but no success here.
Flash misses with a short punch on the inside.
Flash lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Petrova backwards.
Flash tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Flash slowing the pace effectively.
Petrova misses with a knee to the head.
Flash lands a body shot.
Flash tries to work over Petrova's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A nice right hand lands inside from Flash.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A shot in the inside from Flash.
Petrova is rocked!
Petrova can't get the takedown.
Petrova is still on wobbly legs! Can Flash finish him?
Flash creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Petrova with a big uppercut! Petrova tries to clinch up but Flash pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Petrova to the mat! Petrova covers up and Flash unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). The Flash!
