Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Okasi Omamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omamba looks to throw the jab but Shepard is out of range.
Omamba walks into a left hand.

Omamba shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shepard is trying to defend but Omamba finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Omamba seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Shepard tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Omamba blocks the strikes from Shepard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Omamba connects with a nice short shot to Shepard's temple.
Omamba is controlling the pace.
Omamba lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Shepard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Omamba's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Omamba's back!

Shepard has got one arm under Omamba's chin. This could be trouble... Omamba trying to control the other hand but Shepard gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Omamba has tapped out! The fight is over!
