Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gullermo Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snow is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Just Like You Imagined. Jon Snow has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gullermo Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vargas counters with a series of strikes. Snow will be more careful next time no doubt.
Snow throws a nice looking combination but Vargas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sloppy strikes from Snow. Those never looked like landing.

Vargas gets a clinch.
Snow wants to break free but Vargas has control.
Vargas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Snow backwards.
Snow taking a breather.
Snow misses with the head strike.
Vargas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Snow lands a left hand.
Vargas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Snow fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jon Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jon Snow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Vargas clinches.
Snow tries to break the clinch but Vargas is controlling the position.
Vargas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Snow avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Gullermo Vargas will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Vargas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Vargas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vargas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Snow lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Snow.

Vargas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Snow walks away with a smile on his face. Vargas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Vargas lands with a nice combination. Snow backs away looking to recover.

Vargas closes the distance and clinches.
Snow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vargas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Snow gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
