Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larppa Lurppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LeChoke Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Larppa Lurppa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, LeChoke Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lurppa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lurppa throws a sloppy head kick and Kingston moves out of range easily.

Kingston moves into the clinch successfully.

Lurppa gets control of Kingston's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lurppa will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kingston pushing down on Lurppa's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kingston scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Kingston perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Kingston has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Lurppa tries to roll over but Kingston keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Kingston might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. LeChoke Kingston hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lurppa circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lurppa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kingston thinking.
Kingston throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lurppa throws a series of punches but Kingston moves out of range.
Kingston has a takedown stuffed.
Lurppa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lurppa misses with a hook. Kingston ducked under it nicely.
Kingston avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kingston shoots in but no luck this time.
Lurppa smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lurppa. That's going to slow Kingston down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kingston cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lurppa is looking to regain half guard here but Kingston keeps moving and retains side control.

and Kingston counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kingston moves in looking to clinch but Lurppa pushes him off.
Lurppa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - Lurppa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kingston walks into a jab.
Lurppa tries a head kick but it misses.
Kingston fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lurppa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lurppa throws a chopping leg kick but Kingston manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Lurppa throws a jab but it's blocked by Kingston.
Larppa Lurppa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lurppa throws a head kick but Kingston moves out of range.
Lurppa misses with a body punch

and Kingston counters by moving into the clinch.
Lurppa throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Kingston has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lurppa is trying to keep an underhook but Kingston manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kingston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

and Kingston counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lurppa's guard now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lurppa trying to keep a closed guard but Kingston is proving a slippery customer.

Lurppa gets back to full guard.
Kingston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kingston's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
LeChoke Kingston is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kingston stands and throws Lurppa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kingston has control of an arm but Lurppa manages to advance to Kingston's back!

Kingston is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lurppa is staying active.
Kingston breaks Lurppa's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Larppa Lurppa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
