Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Page Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marijo Palavra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight's entrance music is like moths to flames. A fine choice. Page Knight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Page Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marijo Palavra!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Palavra as he avoids it easily.
Palavra fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Knight clinches with his opponent.
Knight prevents the takedown attempt.
Palavra is working for takedown but Knight is calmly controlling the position for now.
Page Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marijo Palavra.
Knight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Palavra walks away with a smile on his face. Knight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Knight jabs Palavra to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Palavra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Knight.
Palavra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knight's waist but Knight gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palavra off to one side.

Palavra feints and as Knight raises his hands in defense, Palavra changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Knight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Palavra drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Knight manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Palavra has Knight in his guard.
Palavra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Palavra is controlling Knight's trapped leg to prevent Knight from advancing to side control.
Knight is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Palavra doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knight.

Palavra manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Knight really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Palavra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Knight looks a forlorn figure.

Palavra wants to finish this one by submission but Knight is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Palavra.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Palavra leaves Knight with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Knight shoots in looking for a takedown. Palavra tries to sprawl out of it but Knight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Palavra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Palavra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Palavra jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Knight is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Knight and Palavra has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Knight has one foot on Palavra's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Palavra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
