Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Dravinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Boska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roman Dravinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Boska!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dravinski takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dravinski drops his hands momentarily and Boska takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Boska leaves Dravinski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Boska.
Dravinski looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Dravinski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boska lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dravinski throws a looping overhand right but Boska ducks down to avoid it.
Dravinski tries to clinch but Boska moves out of range.

Boska shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dravinski tries to hold on but Boska postures up.
Dravinski holds on for dear life, controlling Boska's posture momentarily.

Boska throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dravinski because Boska loaded up on that one.
Boska can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dravinski is looking to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Boska there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Dravinski blocking the ground and pound.
Boska has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dravinski's face.
Boska avoids the attempt from Dravinski to control.
Boska sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Dravinski sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Boska prevents Dravinski from improving his position.

Dravinski is holding on to half guard well.
Dravinski wants to improve his position but Boska is controlling well.
Boska really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dravinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boska is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Boska looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dravinski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boska is working away from the top position though.

Boska throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dravinski is pressing down on Boska's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Boska must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Boska stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dravinski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dravinski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dravinski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boska tries to control Dravinski's body but Dravinski pushes him off. Boska squirms to his side and now Dravinski has his back!
Dravinski lands punches and elbows.

Dravinski is looking for a choke. Boska gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Boska manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Boska throwing strikes from guard but Dravinski blocks nicely.

Boska makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Boska prevents Dravinski from getting back to his feet.
Dravinski tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dravinski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boska defends it easily.
Boska pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dravinski is keeping the position for now.
Boska seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ray Boska hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Boska tries to clinch but Dravinski is having none of it.
Dravinski wants to slow Boska down by chopping away at his legs.
Dravinski has a takedown stuffed.
Dravinski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Boska counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Boska throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dravinski's head.
Dravinski keeps the fight on the outside.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Dravinski. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dravinski's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dravinski duly obliges.

Boska moves into the clinch successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boska has Dravinski pressed against the cage, preventing Dravinski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Boska is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Dravinski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Boska uses from the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boska accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dravinski shoots in looking for a takedown. Boska tries to sprawl out of it but Dravinski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boska manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dravinski tries to get the hooks in deep but Boska pushed the leg off.

Boska takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Boska wants to control his opponent's hands but Dravinski gets his hands free.
Dravinski is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Boska's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Dravinski looking to break Boska's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Boska remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dravinski will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Dravinski slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Roman Dravinski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dravinski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
