Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sunil Ganga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kari Peippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ganga comes to the ring accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Peippo has chosen Public Enemy - Terminator X to the Edge of Panic as his entrance music. The key to victory for Sunil Ganga has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Peippo as he connects with a hook.
Peippo misses with a hook. Ganga ducked under it nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Ganga. No joy for Peippo on that attempt.
Peippo throws a lazy uppercut
and Peippo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Peippo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ganga connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Peippo scrambles back to his feet.
Peippo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kari Peippo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ganga lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Peippo at a distance.

and Ganga counters with a nice uppercut.
Ganga moves out of range of the leg kick from Peippo.
Ganga moves forwards but Peippo connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ganga gets caught flat footed, as Peippo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Peippo wants to control from the top but Ganga keeps moving.

Peippo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ganga wants to stand but Peippo is controlling the position.
Peippo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ganga is looking to reverse the position.
Ganga on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ganga tries to get out of the position.

Peippo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ganga is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Peippo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ganga keeps working.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ganga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peippo on the ground.

Peippo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ganga is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Peippo is controlling him well.

Peippo tries to score with some ground and pound. Ganga controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Peippo is looking to take a break and control but Ganga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Peippo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Peippo wants to control but Ganga is keeping him busy.

Peippo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ganga has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Peippo but great work by Ganga.
Peippo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Peippo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ganga tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peippo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Peippo tries to bum rush Ganga with a series of wild strikes but Ganga uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ganga slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ganga cracks Peippo with an open hand slap.
Ganga gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Peippo.

Ganga is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ganga throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ganga is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Peippo is rocked!
Peippo bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Ganga comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Peippo falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Peippo was out before he hit the floor!
