Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Stryker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, David Morgan!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan shoots and misses
and Stryker counters with a straight right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stryker. Morgan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Morgan lands a right hook to the body.
Morgan throws a head kick but Stryker moves out of range.
Stryker throws a left and a right that both miss

so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Morgan won't allow Stryker to get back to his feet.
Stryker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stryker wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Morgan is now in half guard.

Morgan seems to be working for a kimura but Stryker defends the submission attempt.
Morgan wants to pass to mount but Stryker is defending the position.
Stryker tries to get to full guard but Morgan has control of the leg.
Stryker wants to control but Morgan is keeping busy.

Stryker with the active half guard here but Morgan passes nicely into side control.
Morgan cracks Stryker with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Morgan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Stryker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morgan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Morgan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stryker keeps working.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stryker gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Stryker won't allow Morgan to pass to mount.
Morgan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Stryker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Morgan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stryker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stryker.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Stryker keeps moving.

Morgan works over Stryker with some ground and pound from guard.
Stryker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Stryker throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Morgan slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Stryker.
Stryker tries to roll over but Morgan keeps him under control.
Stryker regains full guard. Nicely done.
Morgan tries to free his leg and advance position but Stryker is retaining full guard.

Morgan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stryker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stryker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morgan manages to get himself to full guard.
Morgan wants to sweep but no luck.
Stryker trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Morgan is working an open guard so Stryker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morgan tries for a takedown but Stryker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stryker lands with a nice body punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morgan fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnny Stryker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Morgan.

and Stryker counters with a thumping low kick.

Morgan doesn't manage to clinch there - Stryker circles away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Morgan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stryker throws a nice outside leg kick.
Stryker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Stryker misses with a wild combination.
Morgan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stryker tries a head kick but it misses.
Morgan shoots in for a double leg but Stryker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Morgan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Stryker throws a right hand that Morgan ducks under and follows up with a left that Morgan also avoids with ease.

and Stryker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Morgan thinking.

Morgan is breathing heavily.
Stryker connects with an inside leg kick.

Morgan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Morgan tries to clinch but Stryker moves out of range.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stryker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Stryker is trying to control Morgan's posture but Morgan avoids it.
Morgan is chipping away with strikes.
Stryker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Morgan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Morgan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stryker sees it coming and defends easily.

Stryker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morgan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morgan's back!
David Morgan has got the better of the ground game so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Morgan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Stryker gets his way!

Stryker is trying to stick to Morgan's back but Morgan is turning into Stryker. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Stryker's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Morgan.

Morgan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Morgan forces his way into half guard.
Morgan trying to control from half guard but Stryker is working away.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Stryker doesn't have the hooks in and Morgan manages to turn into his guard.

Stryker has his foot on Morgan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morgan works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Stryker will probably get the nod.

Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stryker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stryker but Stryker pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A right-left combo lands from Stryker.
Morgan tries to clinch there but Stryker circles away.
Stryker lands a nice shot to the body.
Stryker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Morgan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stryker's waist but Stryker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morgan off to one side.

Stryker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Morgan's hands.

Stryker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Morgan's head backwards.
Stryker feints and then cracks Morgan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Morgan down.
Stryker throws a front kick that sends Morgan stumbling back into the cage.
Morgan drops his hands momentarily and Stryker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Morgan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Stryker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Morgan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Morgan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sloppy strikes from Stryker. Those never looked like landing.

Stryker is looking to wear down Morgan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Stryker tries to bum rush Morgan with a series of wild strikes but Morgan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Morgan shoots in looking for a takedown but Stryker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morgan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stryker lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
