The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Souza gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miles to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Miles distracts de Souza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Miles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
de Souza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
de Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Miles is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but de Souza has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Miles is looking to defend but de Souza has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Miles! de Souza pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Miles taps out and this one is all over!
