Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Losco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Here Again!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Losco lands a nice shot that snaps Again's head back.
It looks like Here Again has been cut.
Losco looks to land a combination but Again avoids it well.
Again tries to score a power double leg takedown but Losco sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Again somewhat.
Losco looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Again throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Losco was covering up waiting for the punch and Again finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Again with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Again stopping the sweep attempt from Losco.
Losco trying to keep a closed guard but Again is proving a slippery customer.
Again chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Losco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Again has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Again trying to control but Losco is working from the bottom.
Again postures up and lands a big shot to Losco's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Again stands up over Losco, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Again wants to control from the top but Losco keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Again accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Again missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Losco looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Again passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Again stands up.
Again shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Losco as he avoids it easily.
Losco swings widly with a right hand
and Again counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Losco's guard now.
Losco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Again with a flurry of punches that miss.
Again looking to sit in guard and control but Losco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Again looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Again is controlling Losco's posture.
Again lands a decent punch to the body there.
Again is looking for a triangle but Losco pushes his legs off easily.
Losco prevents Again from getting back to his feet.
Again has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Losco off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Oooooh!!! Losco has knocked Again down with a huge combo! Losco steps away and waves a wobbly Again back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Again is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Losco lands with a big right hook that stumbles Again - he's out on his feet here! Losco follows up with another monster hook that separates Again from consciousness! Again falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Losco stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sam Losco!
