Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Dalsworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalsworth has chosen Dropkick Murphys, The warriors code as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Dalsworth!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Finch misses.

Finch darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dalsworth looks like he's trying to stand up.
Finch not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Finch missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Dalsworth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Finch is looking for a kimura but Dalsworth is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Finch to get the leverage.

Finch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Finch is pressing down on Dalsworth's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dalsworth is holding on for now.

Finch scoring with strikes but Dalsworth is staying in there.

Dalsworth really wants to buck Finch off and get back to his feet.
Finch landing strikes from the mount and Dalsworth is in trouble!

Finch jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dalsworth is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dalsworth and Finch has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Finch working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Finch works to advance to full mount. Dalsworth defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Finch wants to control the pace but Dalsworth is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finch looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Finch fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Finch goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dalsworth is on top in guard.

Finch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Finch tries to get out of the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tom Finch.
Finch moves out of range as Dalsworth strikes.
Finch tries to clinch there but Dalsworth circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Finch misses with a lunging right hand

and Dalsworth counters with a head kick that drops Finch to the mat! Finch scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Tom Finch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dalsworth shoots in but no luck this time.
Oh Finch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Finch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dalsworth manages to avoid it.
Finch throws a jab when Dalsworth was well out of range.
Dalsworth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Finch was well out of range. Poor timing from Dalsworth.
Finch seems to have got his legs back now.

Dalsworth pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Finch looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Finch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Finch drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dalsworth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dalsworth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dalsworth!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finch gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Finch is looking to reverse the position.

Tom Finch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Finch gets back to half guard.

Finch looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Dalsworth pushes past his half guard into mount!
Dalsworth wants to control the pace but Finch is squirming around nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Finch goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dalsworth has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Finch but great work by Dalsworth.

Finch is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dalsworth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dalsworth has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Finch works to full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ed Dalsworth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


That kick from Dalsworth tenderised Finch's leg. Finch is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dalsworth connects with a combination that backs up Finch into the cage. Dalsworth lands a flurry of punches that gets past Finch's guard. Finch is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Dalsworth bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Dalsworth!
Ed Dalsworth looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I fight to get obstacles out of my way, and if I dont make it I must figure out how so that I can live a life where nothing gets in my way. '.
