Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Owen Wash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocky Corleone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Wash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rocky Corleone!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wash is defended easily by Corleone.
Corleone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Corleone throws a looping overhand right but Wash ducks down to avoid it.
Corleone lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wash at a distance.
Wash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corleone tries to avoid it but Wash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corleone to the ground. Corleone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Corleone scores with a takedown into Wash's guard.
Wash pulls Corleone in to control the position.
Wash looking for a sweep. Not yet Wash, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wash circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Corleone tries to close the distance and clinch but Wash swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wash moves into the clinch successfully.

Wash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wash closes the distance and pushes Corleone back into the cage.
Corleone wants to break free but Wash has control.

Wash pulls guard.
Wash pulls Corleone in close to his closed guard and prevents Corleone from doing any damage or advancing position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Owen Wash has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Wash shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corleone as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Owen Wash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Corleone shoots for a double leg takedown but Wash sprawls well. He's pushed Corleone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wash tries to clinch up.

Wash clinches up with Corleone and pushes him back against the cage.

Wash jumps guard but Corleone stands there with Wash around his waist. Wash gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Corleone is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wash is keeping busy.
Wash jumps guard but Corleone turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wash tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Wash drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wash is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Corleone pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Wash tries to pull guard but Corleone won't allow it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Corleone.
Wash is trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wash can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Owen Wash will probably get the nod.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Corleone.
Wash lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Corleone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wash gets a takedown into half guard.
Wash moves into full mount! Corleone won't be happy about that!

Corleone is breathing heavily.

Wash looking to control but Corleone is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Wash stands up from mount. Strange move.
Wash ducks under a wild hook from Corleone.
Corleone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wash was well out of range. Poor timing from Corleone.
Wash lands with a kick to the temple. Corleone shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Wash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Corleone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wash passes Corleone's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wash lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Wash thows a huge punch but Corleone dodges it nicely.
Wash trying to control from half guard but Corleone is working away.
Wash works his foot free and advances to mount.

Wash looking to control and managing it successfully.
Poor strikes thrown by Wash there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Wash working for a guillotine from mount but Corleone is in no mood to give up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
