Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liam Selnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Paulsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulsen has chosen Papa Roach - Do or die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selnes cracks the inside of Paulsen's front leg.
Selnes blocks a leg kick.
Paulsen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Paulsen missing with a left hand there. Selnes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Selnes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Selnes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Liam Selnes has been cut.
Selnes misses with a head kick.
Paulsen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Paulsen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Selnes counters with a good low kick that Paulsen was not able to check.

Selnes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Selnes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paulsen throws out the jab.

Selnes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paulsen, pushing him back against the cage.
Paulsen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Selnes's efforts to push away.

A frustrated look appears on Paulsen's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Paulsen stuns Selnes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Paulsen misses with a body shot.

Paulsen throws a looping overhand right but Selnes ducks down to avoid it.
Selnes misses with a head kick.
Paulsen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Donk. Paulsen catches Selnes right on the button with a cross.
Paulsen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paulsen digs a good body shot into Selnes's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paulsen lands with a hook. Selnes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oh Selnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paulsen throws a jab when Selnes was well out of range.
Selnes seems to have got his legs back now.
Paulsen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nice uppercut lands for Paulsen. That snapped Selnes's head back.

Selnes moves into range and clinches up with Paulsen.
Selnes tries to land a knee to the head but Paulsen blocks with his arms.
Selnes throws an elbow but it misses.
Paulsen is trying to stall.
Selnes tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Paulsen avoids it.

Selnes breaks from the clinch.
Selnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Oooooh!!! Paulsen has knocked Selnes down with a huge combo! Paulsen steps away and waves a wobbly Selnes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Liam Selnes's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Selnes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Paulsen scores with a hook to the body. Selnes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Paulsen misses with a hook. Selnes ducked under it nicely.
A head kick from Selnes lands but Paulsen takes it in his stride.
Selnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Selnes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Selnes clinches up against the cage.
Paulsen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Paulsen tries to work over Selnes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Selnes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Paulsen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Paulsen misses with a straight right.
Selnes throws a sloppy head kick and Paulsen moves out of range easily.
Paulsen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters circling - Paulsen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Selnes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Paulsen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Selnes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Paulsen digs a good hook to Selnes's body.
Paulsen connects with a body shot that sends Selnes's belly button to the back.
Morten Paulsen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A looping hook to the body misses from Selnes. Paulsen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Selnes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Selnes moves forwards but Paulsen connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Paulsen counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Selnes! He's just covering up as Paulsen starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Morten Paulsen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Steel Penn's Laundry 93% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
