Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wranch Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam De Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - Hurt. Wranch Hammer has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wranch Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam De Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer tries to clinch but Wolf moves out of range.
Hammer tries to clinch up.
Horrible takedown by Wolf or perhaps it was just good defense by Hammer which made him look bad.
Hammer wants to clinch up but Wolf keeps it at a distance.
Wolf closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hammer circles away.

Wolf clinches.

Wolf lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Wolf is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wolf tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hammer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sam De Wolf.

Wolf throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hammer was covering up waiting for the punch and Wolf finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wolf looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Let's hope that Wolf has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sam De Wolf was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hammer tries to clinch up.

Wolf shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wolf showed some decent athleticism there.
Wolf takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sam De Wolf has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wolf has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hammer after a bit of a struggle.

That's time! Hammer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wolf shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hammer sprawls well. Hammer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet.
Hammer wants to clinch up but Wolf keeps it at a distance.
Hammer is looking to clinch but Wolf is avoiding it.
Wolf shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hammer as he jumps to the side.

and Wolf counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hammer's guard now.
Wolf seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wolf thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hammer wants to stand and escape but Wolf is having none of it.
Wolf controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sam De Wolf has got the better of the ground game so far.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam De Wolf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hammer gets caught flat footed, as Wolf shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wolf slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Wolf pushes down on Hammer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wolf is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam De Wolf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hammer tries to close the distance and clinch but Wolf swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hammer tries to clinch up but Wolf circles away and keeps his distance.

Hammer tries to sprawl but Wolf drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wolf prevents Hammer from standing back up.
Wolf is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hammer!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sam De Wolf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Wolf pushes Hammer up against the cage in a clinch.
Hammer throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wolf blocks it with crossed arms.
Hammer tries to land knees in the clinch but Wolf avoids the damage to the body.
Wolf avoids a wild elbow strike from Hammer.
Wolf can't find room to land a body shot as Hammer controls the action.
Hammer crunches a lovely knee into Wolf's ribcage.
Hammer misses with an elbow over the top.
Hammer tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Wolf tries for a takedown but Hammer manages to get underhooks.

Wolf has Hammer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hammer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Wolf wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hammer has him pressed against the cage.
Wolf has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hammer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Wranch Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam De Wolf.

Wolf has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hammer regains guard immediately.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

so Wolf counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Wolf controls from within his opponent's guard.
Wolf stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hammer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wolf controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sam De Wolf wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hammer moves to clinch but Wolf breaks away
and Wolf counters with a left and a right that stings Hammer.
Sam De Wolf is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hammer enables Wolf to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hammer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wolf wants to control from the top but Hammer keeps moving.
Wolf has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sam De Wolf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wolf winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
