Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Prowse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lance Kilkenny!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prowse throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Prowse looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kilkenny is fending him off so far but Prowse persists. Nope, Kilkenny circles away and we're back to standing.
Kilkenny pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kilkenny bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kilkenny moves into the clinch successfully.

Prowse jumps into guard, dragging Kilkenny to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kilkenny won't allow Prowse to get back to his feet.
Prowse has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Prowse looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kilkenny is one step ahead there.

Both fighters circling a little - Kilkenny finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A big left from Prowse misses.
Prowse thows a body shot but no joy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kilkenny fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lance Kilkenny seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kilkenny avoids the body shot from Prowse.

Kilkenny throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Kilkenny cracks Prowse with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Prowse fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kilkenny on the side of the head.

It looks like Tyson Prowse has been cut.

Prowse takes an elbow to the forehead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kilkenny pressing his opponent against the cage.
Prowse tries to pull guard but Kilkenny forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Prowse tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kilkenny lands an elbow just above Prowse 's eye.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kilkenny - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Oh Prowse is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kilkenny pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson Prowse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Prowse throws a nice looking combination but Kilkenny bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Prowse smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kilkenny throws a leg kick which misses Prowse's front leg but catches the back leg as Prowse tries to avoid it.

Prowse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kilkenny sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kilkenny throws out a powerful jab.
Prowse throws a lazy right hand but Kilkenny sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Prowse takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Kilkenny closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Prowse tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kilkenny smiles and moves away.
Prowse is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Prowse takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Prowse throws a lazy uppercut
and Kilkenny counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kilkenny cracks Prowse with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kilkenny, right into the meat.

Prowse misses the shot to the body.
