Tatov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Soundgarden - Superunknown. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mahones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mahones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mahones wants to clinch up but Tatov keeps it at a distance.
Mahones ducks under a wild hook from Tatov.
Mahones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tatov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Mahones looks gassed!
The fighters circling - Mahones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tatov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tatov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Tatov! Mahones is out cold! This one is all over!

Igor Tatov opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
