The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Magnar walks into a left hand.

dos Santos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than dos Santos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

dos Santos has control of Magnar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Magnar regains control of the situation pretty easily.
dos Santos cracks Magnar with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Magnar is looking to improve his position but dos Santos isn't that keen on the idea.
The referee warns Magnar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
