Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake Aubrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aubrey comes to the cage accompanied by Over - Drake. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Drake Aubrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Marsden!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsden throws a series of punches but Aubrey moves out of range.
Aubrey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Marsden misses with an uppercut. Aubrey saw that one coming.
Marsden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Aubrey avoids the body shot from Marsden.
Nice takedown defense from Aubrey. No joy for Marsden on that attempt.
Aubrey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marsden.

Marsden missing with a left hand there. Aubrey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Horrible takedown by Marsden or perhaps it was just good defense by Aubrey which made him look bad.

Marsden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aubrey was covering up waiting for the punch and Marsden finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Aubrey pulls Marsden in close to prevent any damage.

Marsden drops back looking for a leg! Aubrey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aubrey manages to kick Marsden off! Marsden jumps back into Aubrey's guard.
Marsden wants to get up but he can't break Aubrey's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Marsden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aubrey, up you get!

Roger Marsden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aubrey works Marsden's body with a nice hook.
Marsden connects with a body shot that sends Aubrey's belly button to the back.
Aubrey loads up on a big right hand but Marsden slips the punch.
Aubrey fails to land with a series of punches.
Marsden misses with an uppercut
and Aubrey counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Aubrey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Marsden lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Aubrey wants to clinch up but Marsden keeps it at a distance.
Marsden has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aubrey.
Aubrey slips a jab and a cross from Marsden.
Aubrey looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Marsden swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Aubrey counters with a head kick. That will keep Marsden thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Aubrey leaves Marsden with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Aubrey misses with a series of wild punches.

Marsden lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Aubrey.
Marsden takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Marsden throws a nice looking combination but Aubrey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aubrey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Marsden walks forward, straight into a front kick from Aubrey.
Marsden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Drake Aubrey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aubrey throws a sloppy head kick and Marsden moves out of range easily.
Aubrey lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Marsden tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Marsden scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Aubrey doesn't seem bothered though.
Aubrey slaps away a takedown attempt from Marsden, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Aubrey lands with a kick to the temple. Marsden shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Drake Aubrey will probably get the nod.

Marsden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aubrey's waist but Aubrey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marsden off to one side.
Aubrey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marsden moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Drake Aubrey is winning the standup battle so far.
Aubrey looks to land a right hand but Marsden moved out of range.

Marsden shoots in looking for a takedown. Aubrey tries to sprawl out of it but Marsden keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aubrey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Aubrey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Marsden has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Aubrey. Oh but Marsden has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Aubrey goes limp - he's gone! Marsden jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
