The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickok scores with a jab to the body.
Hickok looks to land a right hand but Rutten moved out of range.
Hickok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rutten moves away.
Rutten is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hickok.
Rutten thuds a left hand into Hickok's body.
Hickok thows a body shot but no joy.
Rutten misses with a few strikes there.
Rutten is looking to land body kicks.
Rutten waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hickok.
Hickok stuns Rutten with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rutten misses with a body shot.
Rutten bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rutten avoids the body shot from Hickok.
Rutten has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rutten there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hickok scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rutten throws a sloppy head kick and Hickok moves out of range easily.
Rutten misses with a wild body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rutten tries to clinch but Hickok is having none of it.
Hickok sizes up Rutten with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Rutten throws a leg kick but Hickok checks it.

Hickok cracks Rutten with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rutten looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hickok finish him?

Rutten is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hickok is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Rutten flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rutten is out cold! Hickok holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
