PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dante Durant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Rory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shane Rory!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rory feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Durant's calf.
Durant shoots in looking for a takedown. Rory tries to sprawl out of it but Durant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rory manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rory swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Durant counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rory!
Rory tries to buck Durant off but he can't manage it.
Durant wants to control the pace but Rory is squirming around nicely.

Durant is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rory is forced to tap! Great finish!
